Thank you so much, May.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article "'No Baggage Lost in 30 Years,' Says Japanese Airport" that you kindly selected on May 14 2024.
As I mentioned in the lesson, I admit the the Kansai International Airport is one of the excellent International Airport in Japan.
However, its accessibility is not so good because it is a little far from the center of Osaka city.
Instead, Itami Airport is more convenient than Kansai International Airport from the point of accessibility..
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, May.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'Seoul Announces Rent Subsidy for New Parents' that you kindly selected on May 12 2024.
As I mentioned, in the lesson, Seoul, a capital of South Korea has the similar problem to Tokyo.
However, a capital of Tokyo does not provide such as the rent subsidy in order not to increase the high population density of Tokyo.
Meanwhile, the Tokyo government gives a subsidy to the households that have children subsidy, 1,846 PHP per a month.
Single men and women complain about the sibsidy, because it derives from taxes.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'One in Four US Adults Over 50 Expect to Never Retire' that you kindly selected on May 9 2024.
As I mentioned in the lesson, the retirement age is 60 years old, but the age nations get pension is 65 years old in Japan.
So most of the Japanese nation have to work until 65.
However, many companies don't want to hire older people who don't have specialties.
I reccomment that the current worker should obtain the specialties for the future.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'Experts Testing AI Tool That Predicts Patients' Health' that you kindly selected on April 27 2024.
As I mentioned in the lesson, not all doctors are smart and intelligent, but some are incompetent based on my experience.
For instance, my mom's hip joint was injured, but an elderly doctor in countryside area misdiagnosed this is a slight ailment.
The AI tool might be a help to support such an incompetent medical doctors and to reduce the misdiagnosis.
However, final judge relies on a medical doctor under the current law.
Therefore, the AI tool cannot exchange a role of a medical doctor for the time being.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'BBC Names 5 Countries with the Best Work-Life Balance' that you kindly selected on April 15 2024.
After hearing the headline, I thought that Japan would not be listed in the top 5 counties.
In fact, most of colleagues in my previous company worked more than 50 hours a week on average.
This is because many Japanese people are likely to regard working hard as a virtue.
However, according to the latest gossip news, young generations are likely to make much of their personal time rather than work. So, I expect that Japan to be ranked in the top 5 countries with the Best Work-Life Balance someday.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'Japan to Sell Fighter Jets to Other Nations' that you kindly selected on March 30 2024.
As I mentioned in the lesson, a Japanese manufacturer failed to develop a passenger plane a few years ago.
Of course, there are lots of differences between a fighter jet and a passenger plane, but I wonder if the exporting figeter jets brings any benefits to both the importers and Japan?
I suppose that importing fighter jets or technologies related to fighter jets is more effective for Japan in reinforce the capabilities of Japan's Self-Defense Forces.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'Record Number of Russians Seek Asylum in S. Korea' that you kindly selected on March 9, 2024.
I was a little bit surprised to read the NEWS, because a lot of Russians apply for asylum in South Korea.
Japan has a territorial dispute with Russia, this is the reason why the number of Russian asylum seekers in South Korea is greater than in Japan.
I looked for the NEWS about asylum seekers from Russia to Japan. According to the latest NEWS, the number of Russians seeking asylum is only '1', he swam across the sea to Japan about 2 years ago. However, the Japanese government does not grant him as a refugee, due to a policital issue, but he is living in Japan.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'Four-Day Week Made Permanent for Many UK Companies' that you kindly selected on March 2, 2024.
As I mentioned in the lesson, only a few large companies can introduce the four-day work week in Japan.
Other medium and small companies cannot adopt it for financial reasons; it means they increase their salaries because they keep their salaries but they work fewer hours.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article 'New York Sues Tech Giants for Fueling Mental Health Crisis' that you kindly selected on Feb. 27, 2024.
It's so ridiculous news. That is my feeling after reading it.
The tech giant cannot be blamed for social media addiction, but parents should be.
The latest smartphones, table PCs have a parental function to prohibit harmfle websites, contents and videos.
For this reason, parents should get liteacy of IT technology.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the article 'First Successful Lab-Grown Eel Meat Revealed' you kindly chose on 20th Feb. 2024.
Approximately 50 years have passed since the invention of an eel farming method, but the price of a cultured eel is still exorbitant.
This is because the cost of mass production of cultured eels is high and unstable.
For that reason, I expect someday we will be able to purchase the lab-grown eel at a low price.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the article 'Tokyo Fish Market Finally Opens Restaurant Area' you kindly chose on 8th Feb. 2024.
As I mentioned in the lesson, 'Toyosu Market' and 'Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai' are different even though they both contain the same word 'Toyosu'.
The former is one of the facilities managed by the Tokyo government, but the latter is a private food theme park.
I investigated about the theme park online and it turned out that the prices are exorbitant. The target market is foreign tourists.
The venue is located in a little bit isolated area and the nearest train station is not a major station.
For that reasons, I wouldn't visit the theme park.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the article 'Meet Katsura Sunshine: The King of Kimono Comedy' you kindly chose on 3rd Feb. 2024.
As mentioned in the lesson, Katsura Sunshine has a YouTube channel, so I watched some of his videos.
In the videos, he mainly speaks in English, but he often uses Japanese words.
His RAKUGO content includes stories about Japanese culture, history, language, and behavior.
His English is easy to understand even though he speaks English at a fast speed because he speaks with clear, loud pronunciation.
So I think his videos can be used for learning English.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the article 'Demons and Beans: Unusual Setsubun Customs from Japan' you kindly chose. on 27th Jan. 2024.
The behavior of the throwing roasted soybeans to chase away the evil spirits is well-known as a traditional and cultural behavior in Japan.
However, as I mentioned in the lesson, there are a few people who performs this habit in urban areas, especially in Tokyo.
A house, an apartment and a condominium are less likely to have enough space to do this activity.
I hope that this traditional behavior will remain forever.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the article 'Japan in 2050: Fewer People Everywhere but Tokyo' you kindly chose. on 18th Jan. 2024.
The problem 'Low Birth Rate' has remained unsolved for many years, but the Japanese government has not taken any effective counter measures of it.
Many experts said it's too late to resolve the issues.
One expert insist the root cause of this problems is younger Japanese men who have lower salaries are less likely to get married.
I suppose Japanese mass media; TV, news pepper, drama, etc. can be to blame for building intentional the biased trend that only high-spec men are eligible to get married.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, May.
It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the interesting article 'More Americans Prefer the Web or AI for Health Advice' you kindly chose on 3rd Jan. 2024.
As I mentioned in the lesson, I admit that getting medical information from AI or Web is more convenient than seeing a doctor. However, the information from them is less reliable, because there are tons of fake and false information. Major social media, X, Facebook and Instagram are made from in the US, I guess that the US citizens are likely to depend social media as source. In addition, there is not National Health Insurance, but expensive private Health Insurance exists in the US. This fact is also one of the reasons.
The situation in Japan is the exact opposite of that in the US. In the case of Japan, elderly people are not good at using PC, smartphone. National Health Insurance motivates Japanese to see a doctor with ease.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, May.
It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the interesting article 'Another Japanese Company Offers Leave for Grandparents' you kindly chose on 28th Dec. 2023.
I forgot to mention in the lesson, but I felt something different and uncomfortable in the article after reading it.
The number of Japanese who are getting married later in life is increasing. In addition, the low birthrate is getting worse year after year.
For that reason, there must be only few employees who have grandchildren. Even if there are the employees, they are senior enough to retire their companies in few years. The companies won't be influenced by accepting the leave.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.
